GOOD CLENE FUN

Are you attending ALA in New Orleans?
Do you use icebreakers and other attention getting ideas at your library?

If you answer yes, to either of these questions, please volunteer to be a presenter at Good CLENE Fun at ALA in New Orleans, Saturday June 24th from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

This fast-paced showcase of ideas designed to energize team meetings, staff development sessions or computer training classes is a perennial favorite of ALA attendees. Participants move through quick, highly interactive round table sessions and see a variety of techniques demonstrated. The session is sponsored by CLENE: ALA"s Continuing Library Education Network and Exchange Roundtable.

We are also accepting volunteers to help pass out materials, and greet the attendees.
Each presenter has a table of 10 - 12 participants (and there are anywhere from 8 - 10 tables in the room) and 15 - 20 minutes to quickly demonstrate 2 or 3 ice-breakers or other activities. At this point a bell rings and the participants can move to another table. The whole things only lasts about 90 minutes (obviously attendees can't go to every table in the room - they have to select.) and is very energetic. The handouts alone (from 9 - 11 other presenters) are invaluable!

If you want more information - feel free to give me a call.
To volunteer you can e-mail me at jposey@greenwichlibrary.org or Kathy Schalk-Greene at Kathy@mtlaurel.lib.nj.us
